HYPO & EDH
Depuis le début des années 2000, EDH et Hypo mènent chacun une carrière solo foisonnante. C’est leur collaboration sur l’album The Correct Use Of Pets (Premier Prix aux Qwartz Electronic Music Awards en 2007), qui a initié leur formule live en duo : Sur scène, ils jouent ensemble leur répertoire commun et
personnel. En 2010, Hypo et EDH sortent chacun de nouveaux albums qui viennent se
donner la réplique sur scène. Le duo est aujourd’hui rejoint par Stéphane Bellity à la batterie, qui offre à la musique de Hypo & EDH, tantôt une liberté d’improvisation à la limite de la noise, tantôt l’accentuation des aspects pops qui la caractérisent.
Hypo
Révélé par un premier album paru en 2001 sur le label anglais Spymania (Squarepusher, Jamie Lidell), Hypo (Anthony Keyeux) est devenu une figure emblématique du label parisien Active Suspension (Kumisolo, O.Lamm, Domotic…) pour lequel il a réalisé quatre albums de pop électronique atypique et décalée, plébiscités par la presse internationale. Ayant rejoint le label Tsunami-Addiction (dDamage, Milkymee, La Chatte…), Hypo sort aujourd’hui « Coco Douleur », son nouvel album, sur lequel il collabore avec douze musiciens dont EDH, Kumisolo, Carl Stone, Warren Defever, Midori Hirano, Sawako et O.Lamm. (Ce nouvel album est accompagné du EP « Dodo Couleur » sur le label Moelleux Records). A la fois ironique et sérieux, Hypo malmène les clichés de la pop music, étranglant avec la même ferveur la new wave, le r’n’b et la musique expérimentale. Il s’applique avant tout à créer de mini tubes potentiels traversés d’expérimentations et de télescopages improbables.

EDH
Travaillant principalement avec des instruments analogiques, Emmanuelle de Héricourt compose une electropop à la fois légère et sombre, où s’entremêlent des voix de crooners fantomatiques, des références eighties et un chant tantôt fragile, tantôt désincarné. Elle partage avec Hypo un amour pour la pop déviante, qui sait rester directe et efficace. Après un premier album sorti sur le label japonais Intik, EDH a collaboré au
quatrième album de Hypo (Random Veneziano), sur lequel elle a notamment co-signé l’explosif « Free Days ». Collaboration qui s’est poursuivie sur le long format « The Correct Use Of Pets » en 2006. Ayant récemment intégré les labels Lentonia (Paris) et Matte Black Edition (label de Los Angeles dirigé par le rappeur Subtitle), EDH présente aujourd’hui trois nouveaux disques : un album qui rend compte de la période où elle vivait et composait à New York au début des années 2000, un 45 tours 6 titres sur lequel la guitare basse a pris une place déterminante. Une nouvelle orientation confirmée par son nouvel album « Predature » sorit le 10 février 2010 chez Lentonia.

Hypo & EDH
Since the early noughties, Hypo and EDH have been leading a fruitful solo career. After their collaboration on the album The Correct Use of Pets (which won the Qwartz Electronics award in 2007), they started to play live together, offering their audience a mix of their personal and common creations.
In 2010, Hypo and EDH are both releasing new albums that will be shared and complete each other on stage. The duet has been joined by Stéphane Bellity at the drums, adding more scope for improvisation – bordering on noise music - and accentuating the pop music aspects of Hypo and EDH’s work.

Hypo
After a first album on the English label Spymania (Squarepusher, Jamie Liddel), Hypo became a major figure of the Parisian label Active Suspension (Kumisolo, Domotic, O.Lamm, Davide Balula) with which he released four albums of inventive, quirky electro-pop that were all tremendous successes
with the international music press. Hypo now works with the label Tsunami-Addiction and is currently releasing his new album ‘’Coco Douleur’’ which features collaborations with twelve artists among whom EDH, Kumisolo, Carl Stone, Warren Defever, Midori Hirano, Sawako and O.Lamm. This new album is preceded with an EP ‘’Dodo Couleur’’ on Moelleux Records. On an ironic yet serious tone, Hypo plays with the pop music cliches and mauls new wave, r’n’b and experimental music equally. His main goal is to
create potential mini-hits tampered with by experiments and improbable telescoping.

EDH
Emmanuelle de Héricourt mainly works with analogical instruments and composes a gentle yet dark electropop that mixes the voices of eerie crooners, eighties reminiscences and her delicate singing.
EDH and Hypo share a common love for devious pop music that would somehow remain honest and efficient. EDH released her first album on the Japanese label Intik and then worked on Hypo’s fourth album (RV) – they co-wrote the explosive track ‘Free Days’. Their collaboration continued on the LP ‘‘The Correct Use of Pets’’ in 2006. EDH has recently started to work with the labels Lentonia (Paris) and Matte

Black (managed by the rapper Subtitle in Los Angeles) and is now releasing three new records – an album that she composed while living in New York in 2001 and a 6 song record on which the bass guitar is given a decisive sound. This new direction is confirmed in her new album ‘’Predature’’ (released by Lentonia).
