Les strasbourgeois hyperactifs d’Electric Electric nous invite à une danse épileptique, avec des instrumentaux d’un genre nouveau, sur la base d’un rock minimal, mécanique et apocalyptique. A trois sur scène, les musiciens multiplient des boucles rythmiques et bruitistes qui électrisent les salles dans lesquelles ils se produisent. Le spectateur sort de l’une de leurs performances mi-secoué mi-amusé par un propos musical expérimental. Lequel déconstruit pièce par pièce les éléments d’un immense puzzle rock pour permettre au genre de se construire un futur possible. Electric Electric s’est formé en 2004, à cette époque le groupe était largement influencé par le son du label Skingraft et des groupes qui alliaient noise rock et performance explosive. De ces fondations, Electric Electric a affiné une esthétique de la répétition, du minimalisme et surtout de la dance. Le groupe dégage des ambiances mélancoliques, voire maladives (épilepsie, claustrophobie) qui apparaissent parfois au détour d’un riff. Certains les situent pile entre Donna Summer et Sunn O)))

Electric Electric, a hyperactive three-piece band from Strasbourg, lures us into some spastic dancing with their new type of instrumental music, based on a minimalistic, mechanical and apocalyptic rock. They create multiple rhythmic and noise-filled loops that utterly electrify the venues they perform in. The audience leaves their show confused and amused by their experimental musical intentions, which take apart piece by piece every elements of a huge rock puzzle in order to better build its future
incarnations.

Electric Electric formed in 2004, heavily infuenced by the sounds of the Skingraft label and bands that combine noise-rock and explosive performances on stage. With these foundations, Electric Electric has refined an aesthetic sense of repetition, minimalism, and most of all, dance music. In the midst of their songs, the band also gives off an atmosphere of melancholy and sickness (epilepsy, claustrophobia).
Some would say their music fits right between Donna Summer and Sunn-O.
